Athletics events calendar meeting on Friday

The Malta Amateur Athletic Association (MAAA) will be holding the annual calendar meeting at their administrative offices in Marsa on Friday, at 6.30 p.m.

The association is inviting member club representatives and other organisations, including Local Councils, which usually organise road running events, to attend the meeting.

Better co-ordination in organising athletic events would ensure the smooth running of all activities. The association would not be in a position to sanction road races not included in their 2004 and 2005 calendar.

Friday's meeting is of particular importance since the MAAA have, for quite some time now, been feeling the need to restructure the schedule. Some new proposals will be discussed with race organisers before any changes are implemented.
