For the third year running, Campus FM has won the greatest number of awards given by the Broadcasting Authority for the excellent standard of programmes in various categories. Campus FM, the University Radio Station which broadcasts on 103.7 FM, won the best programme in the educational category for the second time in three years.

In its report, the jury said that Banking in the EU, produced and presented by John Consiglio, succeeded in educating the general public in many ways. Sportsfile, produced and presented by Celaine Buhagiar and Daphne Cassar and the sole nomination in its category, was described as an excellent series of programmes worthy of this award.

Campus FM was also awarded the Gender Awareness Award for its role in promoting equality between sexes. The radio station was commended for its dedicated commitment towards eliminating gender discrimination through its internal policies and programmes' content. Campus FM has been awarded this prestigious award by the Broadcasting Authority for the second consecutive year.

The primary role of Campus FM is to broadcast programmes of an educational nature and this is reflected in its schedule of high-quality programmes. The Broadcasting Authority Awards are given to the best radio and tv programmes in various categories, irrespective of whether these are popular or not.
