A Libyan man was yesterday jailed for four months for assaulting and slightly injuring a police inspector in court two months ago.

Alabyad Elsnusi, 35, pleaded guilty to threatening, assaulting and injuring Inspector Stephen Gatt and damaging his uniform in court in September 9 at about 11.30 a.m.

Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani Grima bound him not to approach Inspector Gatt against a Lm100 fine in default.

Inspector Pierre Micallef Grimaud prosecuted.
