A VRT tester has been charged with issuing two false certificates.

John Busuttil, 44, of Luqa is pleading not guilty to issuing two false VRT certificates, giving false information to authorities and forgery on January 2002 and the following months.

Magistrate Giovanni Grixti heard how Busuttil issued the certificates when there was a discrepancy between information on the vehicles and their log book.

Police Inspector Stephen Mallia prosecuted.

Dr José Herrera appeared for Busuttil.
