The Maltese Psychological Association has expressed dismay that the masters course in psychology at the University of Malta failed to open in October.

The reason given to the association was that not enough funds could be found to launch this course, association president Angela Abela said.

Addressing the association's annual general meeting, Ms Abela said the association was involved in organising training in hypnotherapy as part of its commitment to continuing professional development. The association is planning a seminar entitled Working Therapeutically with Children to be held early next year.

She said the association would be making a call for papers on the topic.
