The start of the BMX Association track racing championship saw the participation of over 30 riders. The race was the first in a series of 11 from the Centre Point National Championship.
Races are open to participants of different ages, ranging from those aged under-7 to the more experienced ones, 16 years and over.
The up-and-coming Jake Zammit was first in the junior group followed by Mitchell Camilleri. Beppe Barone followed in Zammit's footsteps by taking the lead in the 7-10 age group. Matthew Cassar was second.
Luke Pace, Darren Azzopardi and Mark Filletti were the winners in the 10-13, 13-16 and over 16 age groups respectively.
