Students from the Playhouse Drama School are rehearsing The Travels of Yoshi and the Tea-Kettle, a play by Lynne Reid Banks.

The play will tour government and private schools to coincide with the visit to Malta of the internationally-renowned author. The play will be performed at each school visited by Ms Banks immediately after a talk given by the author herself.

The Travels of Yoshi and the Tea-Kettle is set in Japan and uses a Japanese style of theatre to blend myth and fable.

The Playhouse Drama School was set up six years ago by Joe Quattromani and is associated with the Victoria College, London.

Ms Banks will also be visiting the Playhouse Drama School to meet the actors and the members of the school.
