On October 29, Maltapost released a new set of three stamps titled Windmills. This issue included the former Valletta Windmills, the Ta' Kola Windmill (Xaghra, Gozo) and the Xarolla Windmill (Zurrieq).

As a Gozitan stamp collector, I was pleased that the 27c stamp was dedicated to the Mithna Ta' Kola.

But what disappointed me was that the windmill that was presented on the stamp is not the Ta' Kola windmill. I feel that my collection will lose its value, especially when in future I or even my children review it and look at the Ta' Kola windmill while in reality it is not.

The literature is well related to the Ta' Kola windmill. It will mislead stamp collectors, especially those who are not familiar with this beautiful, restored windmill that today it is even serving as a museum.

Even the rubber stamp used for this issue should have been presented with six points related to the six blades of a windmill rather then the eight points used.

I feel that this issue will harm Gozitan history and cause conflicts to those who will use this stamp or leaflet information when researching Maltese and Gozitan windmills.
