The Pizza Hut topping competition, recently held by Pizza Hut (Malta), was won by Lorraine Farrugia of San Lawrenz.

The competition was held as part of the activities marking the 10th anniversary of Pizza Hut (Malta).
Last September Pizza Hut customers were invited to submit a new pizza recipe with their personal choice of toppings, made with the Pizza Hut world-renowned crusts.
Ms Farrugia, with her "Gozo Delight" recipe, was one of the five finalists competing among the hundreds of entries received. The other four finalists, Victoria Agius, Peter Galea, Victoria Tabone and Sonya Micallef received a Feast for Four free meal worth Lm7.99 as well as a pen set commemorating the 10th anniversary.
"It was quite difficult for the press to vote for the best pizza," Ms Conte said. "All five pizzas were created with completely different flavoured toppings. The 'Gozo Delight', however, was immediately everybody's favourite."
The five best pizzas were prepared and presented before a panel of judges at the Pizza Hut outlet in Fgura. Eleven journalists from print media, television and radio stations voted for the best tasted pizza.
"At Pizza Hut we are confident that the new 'Gozo Delight' with a twist of Maltese flavour, will be a popular choice with both Maltese customers and foreign visitors," Ms Conte said.
As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations Pizza Hut, in collaboration with Capital Radio, Radio 101, Super One Radio and Radio X-FM managed to raise funds for Dar Nazareth, the Ursuline Creche, Dar il-Kaptan and Dar tal-Providenza. Each radio station promoted a particular Pizza Hut restaurant and ten cents from every pizza purchased went towards the stations' sponsored charitable institution.
