Three men have been cleared of complicity in the misappropriation of over Lm5,000 worth of car parts, money and items from an auto parts dealer after a magistrate ruled the charges had not been proven to the level required by the law.

After evaluating the evidence, Magistrate Carol Peralta cleared George Faenza, 48, of Qormi his brother Joseph, 47, of Bugibba and Rodrick Farrugia, 24, of Mosta of defrauding Carmelo Sultana and Sultana Auto Parts of over Lm5,000 and theft.

Police Inspector Alexandra Mamo prosecuted.

Dr Joseph Giglio appeared for the Faenzas while Dr Angelo Farrugia appeared for Farrugia.
