Educational campaign promotes birds

Ribena, together with BirdLife Malta, has launched a new educational campaign aimed at primary school students, consisting of a calendar wall-chart with photos and relevant information about eight birds found on the Maltese islands.

The photos are printed faintly on the chart and the students can collect full-colour stickers to affix on the appropriate part of the chart, completing a bright and colourful 2004 calendar for their bedroom or classroom.

The birds featured are the hoopoe, kingfisher, robin, blue rock thrush, Sardinian warbler, grey heron, yellow wagtail and the black-necked grebe.

The chart will be distributed free of charge to schools through BirdLife Malta.

Stickers will be given out free in strips of four with every 25cl pack of Ribena purchased from any shop in Malta and Gozo.

The promotion will be available until stocks last. Posters with further information will also be distributed in schools.
