MOC, GhKS meeting

The Ghaqda Kittieba Sports (GhKS) and the Malta Olympic Committee (MOC) pledged more cooperation between each other after a cordial meeting in midweek at Tal-Qroqq.

Present for the meeting were MOC head Lino Farrugia Sacco and secretary Joe Cassar and the sportswriters association president and secretary, Charles Camenzuli and Stephen Calleja.

The two organisations acknowledged the fact that they had different roles in sport but agreed to more cooperation and discussed new initiatives that will be beneficial for both.

Meanwhile, in a separate statement, the GhKS congratulated Christian Micallef, an executive member of the association, for winning the Sports Category in this week's Malta Journalism Awards, organised by the Malta Press Club.

The association also complimented its other members who reached the finals of the contest.
