Vol. 1 No. 2 of the Journal of Postcolonial Education is now out. Two of the journal's four editors are from the University of Malta's Faculty of Education: Dr Carmel Borg and Prof. Peter Mayo, the latter being the journal's founding editor.

The other two editors are Dr Anne Hickling Hudson of Queensland University of Technology and Professor George Sefa Dei from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto. Rea Zajda from James Nicholas Publishers, Melbourne, is the journal's managing editor.

Prof. Peter Mayo edited the entire foundation volume consisting of two issues.

This second issue includes the following articles:

Linguistic Racism and its Ramifications. The Iranian Case, by Alireaza Asgharzadeh;

"Mapfupa Angu Achamuka - My Bones shall Rise" - The Intellectual Legacy of Mbuya Nehanda of Zimbabwe, by Ruramisai Charumbira;

The British Attempt to Impose Cultural Hegemony in Cyprus and the Role of Cultural Resistance, by Panayiotis Persianis;

Education for a Multicultural Italy, by Melita Richter Malabotta;

Straddling Borders: The Dilemmas of Speaking From, To, For and Of, by Josephine Anne Cutajar.

Njoki N. Wane and Renee Ferguson review Himani Bannerji's The Dark Side of the Nation and Glenn Rikowski reviews Paula Allman's Revolutionary Social Transformation.

The third issue (Vol. 2 No. 1) will shortly be out and is a special issue on postcolonial educational philosophies guest edited by Professor Ali Abdi, University of Alberta, from the journal's International Panel of Editorial Consultants.

The Journal of Postcolonial Education is published in Australia by James Nicholas Publishers.
