Kind's Auto Sales Ltd yesterday launched the new Mègane Classic at its showroom in Lija.
The latest model from Renault represents a departure from the conventional and often utilitarian character of the established models in the saloon market.
Kind's general manager Mario Xuereb said Renault designers have come up with a new look for the Mègane Classic.
"The saloon's big trump card is that it boasts a longer wheelbase than the hatch from which it is derived" - an extra 61mm of wheelbase length to provide the sedan with class-leading rear legroom.
Wider rear doors than those on the five-door hatch provide easier access, while the rear overhang has also been increased to maximise boot space, which is now largest in its class, Mr Xuereb added.
The local saloon range is available with two engine derivatives - the 1.6 16-valve 115bhp engine and the 1.5 dCI 80bhp common-rail diesel engine.
