The Union Haddiema Maqghudin and the General Workers' Union have ordered nursing aides not to budge from their posts, after the Health Division sub-contracted care workers at St Luke's Hospital.

The unions said separately yesterday that the contractor's care workers were being allocated to wards, and nursing aides already stationed there were being transferred.

The UHM said it had issued the directive as it had not been consulted about the sub-contracting.
