Conference on Euro-Med financial services

An international financial services conference will be held in Malta next month by the Mediterranean Bank Network and the World Savings Banks Institute, a sister organisation of the European Savings Banks Group.

The conference, entitled Impact of the Euro-Mediterranean Integration Process of the Financial Services Industry in the Mediterranean Region, is being held at the InterContinental Hotel in St George's Bay on November 27-28.

The conference will bring together as wide a spectrum of Euro-Med nationalities from the financial services as possible. It coincidentally precedes the Euro-Mediterranean Foreign Ministers meeting being held in Naples in December.

The organisation is under the auspices of Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is being sponsored by leading European and Mediterranean banks.

Key note addresses will be delivered by speakers from the Maltese and Italian governments, the European Central Bank and the European Investment Bank. Presentations will be given by World Bank and Euro-Med banks' specialists in their respective fields.
