On October 19, while passing near the church of the sanctuary of St Theresa of the Child Jesus, in Naxxar Road, Birkirkara, I came across a small container with cat food and a blue substance, and noticed that the cats were acting in a strange manner after eating from this container.

This led me to suspect that this was rat poison and someone must have tried to poison the cats.

This was a cowardly and irresponsible act owing to the fact that small children are present in the area and we all know how curious children can be, and this could easily have led to an accident. This is the love that some so-called people have towards animals.
