Corinthia Hotels International has signed a five-year hotel management agreement, with further optional periods of five years, for the operation of a brand new five-star hotel in Hammamet Sud, Tunisia, as from February 2004.

The five-star hotel, to be called Corinthia Alhambra Hotel, is located in Hammamet Sud, close to a vast sandy beach and an extensive 18-hole golf course, the company said yesterday.

The hotel has 190 bedrooms, family rooms and suites, some with unimpaired sea views, four restaurants, four bars, a 250 square-metre conference and banqueting hall, and a thalasso therapy centre.

Corinthia already owns and operates a five-star hotel in Gammarth, Tunisia.

The Corinthia Alhambra Hotel is the 23rd hotel to offer the 'Spirit of Corinthia' hospitality in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Libya, Malta, Portugal, Russia, The Gambia, Togo, Turkey and Tunisia.
