Student offer for Otello

Students who have Gozo's culture and heritage at heart can avail themselves of specially reduced prices and get a sneak preview of Verdi's Otello during the Mediterranea festival.

The organising committee is planning to persuade students that opera is not boring and is offering them the chance to watch Otello's full general rehearsal at the Astra Theatre for just Lm1 on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Students attending secondary schools, the University of Malta and the College for Arts Science and Technology can also attend a lecture by David Trump on the Ggantija Temples and a concert by the popular group Etnika at the reduced price of Lm2.

Students will also get a 15 per cent discount on all the other activities being organised during the Mediterranea festival, which runs between Saturday and November 8.
