George Azzopardi and Emanuel Cortis have won Lm500 worth of units in the HSBC Maltese Assets Fund. Their names were the first two drawn in a lottery organised by HSBC Fund Management (Malta) Limited for those who invested in the latest issue of this fund.
Joseph D. Camilleri, director at HSBC Fund Management (Malta) Ltd, presented the winners with a Statement of Account confirming the Lm500 transaction.
"The Maltese Assets Fund attracted a lot of interest from many investors keen to diversify their portfolio," Mr Camilleri said. "Mr Azzopardi and Mr Cortis have certainly started their investment on the right track by winning Lm500 worth of units."
The Maltese Assets Funds invests mainly in local equities, bonds and money marketing instruments. The Maltese Assets Fund is an open-ended fund with a unique no-load structure, i.e. it has no front-end or exit fees (unless the investor does not effect more than three repurchase transactions per calendar year).
