GWU wants Maltapost talks

The General Workers' Union said it would resort to industrial action at Maltapost if various issues were not discussed by next Monday.

The union said that various categories of workers at Maltapost were being ordered to do additional work which was normally carried out by other workers.

In a letter to Maltapost chief executive Robert Lake, the union also highlighted various complaints made by workers who were engaged in the various branches in Malta and Gozo.

The union has also requested an urgent meeting with the management.
