A Zebbug man was yesterday given a two-year jail term suspended for three years for breaking into a Vodafone stand.

Philip Attard, 25, pleaded guilty to stealing over Lm100 worth of items from the stand that was situated at the Trade Fair Grounds, in Naxxar, on July 13.

Magistrate Abigail Lofaro noted that Attard had cooperated with the police, filed a guilty plea at an early stage and that the stolen items had been returned to their owner.

She also noted that he had previously been convicted for theft.
