The Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU) recently launched a Campus SMS system through which KSU will send out messages directly to subscribers' mobile phone. The system has proved extremely popular with almost 500 students having since subscribed.

The KSU are ready to offer faculties, at no cost whatsoever, the facility to send out messages to students who have applied for this service. KSU is requesting that with immediate effect faculties begin informing KSU when they have a notice to send out to students. This includes all notices, assignment deadlines, timetable changes, lecture cancellations and assignment titles.

It is important that any messages that need to be sent out immediately, for example lecture cancellations, are relayed to a KSU representative by SMS or telephone while most other things can be relayed by e-mail.

This system, if properly adhered to, will save all faculties time and money as well as provide an invaluable service to students. The notices will also be uploaded onto KSU's new Website once this is launched.
