Josef Attard, a local warden, was slightly injured yesterday when a car driving through Sta Venera by-pass on the way to Marsa crashed into a motorcycle parked by the pavement.

On impact, the motorcycle flipped, hitting the warden in the process.

At the time, two motorcycles belonging to two wardens supervising traffic were parked on the hard shoulder.

The other warden, Ivan Galea, escaped injury.

On impact with the car, a CRX Del Sol, one of the motorcycles ended up in the middle of the road and the other got locked under the rear bumper of another car.
