A Valletta man has been given a two-year jail term suspended for four years for making a false claim at an insurance company.

Jesmond Coleiro, 31, pleaded guilty to making a false claim at Fenici Insurance, simulating an offence, lying under oath and trying to defraud the insurance company of Lm800 on May 21.

Magistrate Scerri Herrera noted that Coleiro had a clean criminal record and cooperated with the police.
