Vintage cars in autumn rally

Thirty-one classic and vintage cars, the oldest being a 1933 Morris Vauxhall, took part in the autumn rally organised by the Old Motors Club yesterday.

The cars included a 1958 BMW Isetta, which is smaller than the smart car, a Ford Prefect, an MGB, a Ford Capri, a Morris Oxford, a VW Beetle and a Vauxhall Velox.

Club president Lino Gauci Borda said the rally was a consistency run covering a distance of about 33 miles around Malta, starting from in front of Eurosport Complex, Birkirkara, its sponsors, and ending back there after a half-way stop at Ghar Lapsi.

The club, set up in 1989 and having 278 members, organises four such rallies every year.
