The winner of the wordgame series that starts today (see page 24) will be able to join Mondial on their tour in December, which takes in most of the main sights there.
An early morning flight means that the first day can be spent on an optional tour of Pala, including the cathedral, palace, and narrow alleyways of the mediaeval town.
Another day excursion takes in the village and bay of Soller, via some of the mountainous interior, offering spectacular views. There is the chance of taking a boat out to Formentor, and stops at Pollensa and Binisasalem.
A half-day can be spent at Valldemosa, where Chopin spent the winter in 1838, and another day can be spent at the Caves of Drach with their underground lake, and the city of Manacor, famous for its pearl industry.
The prize includes return flights on Air Malta, three nights accommodation in a three-star hotel on a bed and breakfast basis (based on twin room sharing), all airport transfers, and the services of an experienced tour leader.
All taxes, service charges, optional excursion, drinks, entrance fees and gratuities are excluded.
The winner will also be given a Lm50 MIA shopping voucher to spend at the tax free centre and a year's subscription in the Scrabble Club.
