Top local band, Winter Moods will be performing at an activity of the Disability Working Group of the Kunsill Nazzjonali taz-Zghazagh at Mdina Bastion Square on Sunday afternoon.
The activity, called Lill-Hinn mid-Dizabilità (Beyond Disability), will be held between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. in order to create awareness about the importance of disabled and non-disabled youths working together.
There will be four workshops, dealing with art, music, drama and dance. The workshops will be lead by both disabled and non-disabled people and the general public may take part.
"This event will be an experience in itself for everyone who attends. We hope that the general public will understand that disabled people have abilities if society learns to include them," Hanan el Khatib, PRO at KNZ, said.
"Lill-Hinn mid-Dizabilità will also boost the self-confidence of people with disability. This event is not a pity or charity campaign but an activity by young people making a statement about inclusion, celebration of diversity and against discrimination."
The band's performance, at 5 p.m., will feature sign language interpretation of some of the songs by hearing-impaired children.
