107 abandoned vehicles removed
The police removed 107 abandoned vehicles from the streets in the first eight months this year, Home Affairs Minister Tonio Borg told Dr Chris Cardona (MLP) in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday. In Gozo, all abandoned vehicles were eventually removed by their owners.
Dr Borg said vehicles which were removed by the police would be sold or scrapped unless they were claimed by their owners within a month of the publication of a notice by the police.
