Five Premier League players were yesterday handed a one-match ban. Hamrun Spartans and Floriana were the worst hit - Evano Briffa and Aaron Attard will miss the Spartans' clash with Balzan on Sunday and Ryad-Mynel Gango-Rtsa and Clifton Ciantar are ineligible to play for the Greens against Birkirkara, also on Sunday.

Marsaxlokk skipper David Carabott was also suspended and will miss his team's match against his former club Valletta tomorrow.
