Roaming service in Libya

Go Mobile said yesterday its international roaming service is now also available in Libya, thus raising its roaming portfolio to 92 countries.

The Libya service was made possible following a roaming agreement with the Libyan operator El-Madar (Orbit). Go Mobile said it was the only local mobile operator currently offering GSM roaming coverage in Libya.

The company said that as a result of this agreement, both prepaid and contract Go Mobile clients could now roam in Libya. Ready to go prepaid users can receive SMS for free, send SMS at 15 cents and receive voice calls at favourable rates. Contract users can benefit from a comprehensive roaming service in Libya.

Go Mobile's chief executive officer Juanito Camilleri said: "The mobile telephony roaming agreement with Libya is very important news, especially for local business people who travel frequently to Libya".
