Six cruise liners carrying about 7,000 passengers yesterday entered the Grand Harbour.
The Constellation, the Ocean, the Bolero, the Island Escape, the Jasmine and the Splendor of the Seas formed the largest number of cruise liners that entered Malta together this year.
In 2001 Malta hosted 259,390 cruise passengers and the number increased to 341,632 in 2002. Between January and July this year, 180,139 tourists have already arrived in Malta on a cruise liner.
The service offered to the increasing number of passengers is expected to improve once the Lm10 million cruise liner passenger terminal project is complete.
