Last weekend, Malta U-19 'keeper Andrew Hogg was again in goal for his second match for southern Italy club Bari's youth side in the Coppa Italia Primavera.
Bari won at Avellino 3-2 and now look favourites to make it to the next round of the cup competition. They won twice from as many outings following a 2-1 win at home against Napoli earlier this month.
The other team in Group N is Lecce. They beat Avellino 2-0 in the first game but were held by Napoli 2-2 last Saturday.
This weekend Hogg, currently on a one-year loan from Pietà Hotspurs, will be travelling with his Bari team-mates for the crucial tie away at Lecce.
Twelve group winners make it to the next round along with the best four runners-up. Last year Bari's youth team reached the quarter-finals before they were eliminated by eventual finalists Lazio. The latter lost the cup final 4-3 on aggregate to Atalanta.
The Primavera league in Italy starts on September 27. Bari are in Girone D along with Avellino, Benevento, Catania, Lazio, Lecce, Messina, Napoli, Palermo, Reggina, Salernitana and Sora.
