SkolaSport starting in October

SkolaSport, offering no fewer than 25 different sport and again sponsored by Kellogg's, will be starting on Saturday, October 18.

SkolaSport falls under the responsibility of the Kunsill Malti ghall-Isport (KMS). Children between the ages of five and 10 years are acquiring skill development through swimming, gymnastics and basic skills.This learning process enables access to a variety of sport activities in the future.

The full list of sport for the 11 to 16 years age-group includes: archery, athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, bowling, cricket, dance sport, football, go-karting, gymnastics, handball, hockey, judo, netball, rugby, sailing, spirit combat, squash, swimming, table-tennis, karate, triathlon, tennis and volleyball.

Application forms are available from the New Cottonera Sports Complex, the Tal-Qroqq Complex and Local Council offices. The KMS has also issued a call for applications for coaches, instructors and area co-ordinators who wish to be part of the SkolaSport team. More details on telephone no. 21-660658.
