The Queen Victoria Band of Zurrieq has condemned vandalism which occurred in the locality on Friday-Saturday night. Red paint was thrown at the niche of Our Lady of Mt Carmel at Nigret, the band's stores and the monument to Nenu Zahra and Nancy Schembri on the road to Wied iz-Zurrieq.

The band pointed out that exactly a year ago red paint was thrown at the state of Our Lady in the same niche.
