Tristan Falzon pleaded guilty to stealing the money from his father Carmelo on August 31.

Falzon declared he would attend a drug rehabilitation programme to overcome his drug abuse problem.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera put off the case to Thursday for submissions on punishment.
