Deborah McNamara is reopening her dance school at new premises in the BS complex, Mosta Road, Lija, next month.

Ms McNamara has been teaching dancing for the past 19 years. She started her teaching career at the Tanya Bayona Poutiatine Academy of Ballet, teaching classical ballet and Spanish dance.

In 1990 she went on to direct her own school and in 1996 she amalgamated with Point Two Ballet Studio to form the Central Academy of Ballet which she co-directed until 2001.

For the past two years she has been guest choreographer for the Tanya Bayona Dance Theatre Company and for Rosanna Maya's Dance Fusion.

The facilities at the new premises in Lija include a state of the art ballet studio and a Spanish dance studio, apart from changing rooms and a reception area.

Ms McNamara will be assisted by Fiona Barthet, an ex-pupil, who will be heading the Junior Division as well as directing the Jazz and Contemporary Dance Classes.
