I would like to remind the Dominican community of Vittoriosa, which celebrated the feast of St Dominic a few days ago, that the Maltese national flag bears the George Cross on the top corner of the white sector.

Year after year I noticed that all red and white flags do not have the George Cross, unless this is some other flag in connection with the saint or history of the community. The George Cross was an honour given to the Maltese.

Tourists were puzzled at Valletta as to which is the correct national flag - the one on the Vittoriosa bastions or those hoisted at different places in the capital.
