Thirty-one models will be contesting the preliminary phase of the Miss Maltese Islands beauty contest which will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta on September 13.

Classic Jewellers will crown the winner with an 18-carat white gold and cultured pearls tiara and scepter.

The winner of this contest will go on to represent Malta in the 53rd edition of the Miss World pageant being held in China on December 6.
