Matthew Asciak yesterday booked his place in the boys' singles final of the Air Malta 2003 Tennis Europe U-16 Tour after he defeated Italy's Gabriele Pocaterra 6-4 3-6 6-0.

Asciak will face Ryan Crampton in today's final at the Vittoriosa Lawn Tennis Club after the Briton had the better of Italian Danilo Randazzo 6-3 6-4 in the other semi-final.

The match is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Russia's Aleksandra Razumova won the girls' tournament after beating Elena Jetcheva 7-6 6-1 in yesterday's final.

The boys' doubles title was won by Crampton and Pecotic who had the better of Mironchikov and Pavlov 6-4 0-6 6-0.

Today's fixtures: Boys' singles consolation final - 9 a.m. O. Mironchikov vs M. Pecotic. Boys' singles final - 5 p.m. M. Asciak vs R. Crampton.
