Middlesea Insurance plc has launched a new marketing and advertising campaign focusing on Malta's most important natural resources, the sea and its surrounding environment.

The campaign uses a colourful mix of Mediterranean underwater species to depict Middlesea's range of products.

Speaking on the campaign, Middlesea Insurance general manager Joseph M. Rizzo said: "Our latest campaign forms part of our commitment and strong conviction that the marine environment is Malta's most important natural resource and therefore we need to protect it and its natural habitat".

Entitled "Protect what Matters", the campaign has two underlying messages - that of protecting one's most important assets such as health and that of protecting the natural marine habitat which surrounds the Maltese islands and which is increasingly becoming endangered.

The campaign features various underwater creatures, all of which can be found in the Mediterranean, including the Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta caretta), the Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), the Hermit Crab (Dardanus callidus) and the Devil Ray (Mobula mobular), among others.

The campaign is also an educational one and each advertisement includes brief descriptions of the underwater species being featured, together with an explanation on the migratory and natural habitats of the species.

Each advertisement also includes specific iconography related to the product being marketed.

These icons are easily identifiable, and have been included for easy reference by consumers.
