The President has made it abundantly clear how high in his esteem he holds local council executive secretaries.

For the activity held at Verdala Castle on August 27 to mark the 10th anniversary of the founding of local councils, the guest list included the Minister for Local Government and his shadow in opposition, a representative of the Local Councils Department, the president of the Association of Local Councils and mayors but excluded a representative of the Association of Local Council Executive Secretaries.

And there I was labouring under the impression that local councils are made up of the deliberative body and the executive body.

I must have misread the information on the website of the Local Councils Department.
