An autopsy carried out on George Cefai, the man found dead in a Valletta apartment on Sunday, showed he had died from cardio respiratory failure, the police said.

The body of the 29-year-old was found in an advanced stage of decomposition. A syringe was found next to the victim, who was known to the police as a drug user.

The police are questioning two men and a woman in connection with the case.
