Embellishment works are due to start today at the car park opposite the Central Bank of Malta.

The work, which has been undertaken by the Central Bank of Malta in collaboration with Valletta local council, also includes the construction of a pavement in Pope Pius V Street.

It is designed to create a better traffic and parking system, apart from paving. The work is expected to take around 10 weeks to be completed. Parking will not be possible on the site, but the council said arrangements have been made for drivers to use St James Ditch for the duration of works.
