The report analysing the Labour Party's electoral defeat will be discussed at an MLP general conference in November, the party said yesterday.
Proposals are then to be made to the party's national executive after the conference, it added.
The party's executive and parliamentary group met for four hours on Friday.
Sources had told The Times that the report speaks of several "wrong strategic decisions" but does not point any accusing finger.
"In essence, the report looks at the kind of party the MLP is, the decisions taken and the structures in which they were taken. It also looks at the strategies adopted and whether these were right or wrong," the sources said.
It also draws many conclusions and makes very serious recommendations.
The report was commissioned by the MLP and was accessible only to members of the executive committee and the parliamentary group.
It was drawn up by a commission made up of Fr René Camilleri, Godfrey Grima and Joe Mangani.
The commission spoke to people within the party structure, including members of the executive committee and also received views, in writing, from people from both within and outside the party, and who may have agreed or disagreed with Alfred Sant's leadership.
