¤ The feast of Our Lady of Loreto is being celebrated in Ghajnsielem today. Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a Pontifical concelebrated Mass at 9 a.m. Mgr Gregory Grech will deliver the panegyric.

Horse and donkey races will be held at 1.30 p.m. Marches will be played by the Santa Margerita Band at 5.30 p.m., followed by the St Joseph Band at 6.30.

The procession with the statue of Our Lady, accompanied by the St Joseph Band, and led by Mgr Grech, leaves the church at 7.30 p.m. The Leone Band will perform on the bandstand on Church Square. The procession will end with the antiphon and a Eucharistic celebration.

Festivities will end with marches played by the St Joseph Band at 10.30 p.m.

¤ Delicata Winery, in collaboration with the Nadur council, is organising a wine festival in the Council Garden, Fatima Street, Nadur, today from 7 p.m.

¤ A barbecue in aid of the S.K. Victoria Wanderers Football Nursery is being held at the Citadel Bastions, tomorrow at 8.30 p.m. Tickets at Lm3 (children Lm2) are available from Marlon Mercieca (2155-8645 or 9944-7625), or Brian Azzopardi (7971-0360).

¤ A tombola night, in aid of the Brazil mission run by a Gozitan Augustinian, Fr Adeodato Schembri, is being held at City Pearl Hall, Victoria, on Tuesday at 6.30 p.m. For tickets at Lm1.25 each, phone Frances Schembri on 2155-1053 or 2155-1273.

¤ The Fjur t'Assisi choir is organising its annual car wash to raise funds to support the local and international work of the Capuchin friars. This will be held at the Marsalforn car park on Friday from 7 p.m., on Saturday at the Arkadia parking area, Victoria, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at the Capuchin Convent from 4 to 9.30 p.m. and also on Sunday from 10 a.m. till noon.

¤ As part of celebrations marking the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel at Xlendi Bay, priests named Carmel will concelebrate Mass tomorrow at 7 p.m. All those named Carmel or Carmela are invited to attend.

A Marian festival, with the participation of various local singers and choirs, is being held on the church parvis, on Tuesday at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, eve of the feast, there will be the translation of the relic of Our Lady at 6.45 p.m. followed by a concelebrated Mass with sacramental blessing, led by Vicar-General Mgr Giovanni B. Gauci. The Ite ad Joseph Band will play marches at 9.30 p.m.

¤ A military vehicle show is being held by the Military Vehicles Club Gozo, the MVCC (Malta) and the Nadur council, at Dun Martin Camilleri Square, Nadur. It will be open on Saturday from 8 p.m. and on Sunday and Monday throughout the day. Entrance is free.
