Nurses, members of the Union Haddiema Maghqudin who are working in hospitals and health centres, have been advised by the union to follow the directives issued by the Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses.

The MUMN is in dispute with the government over a sectoral agreement. The UHM said in a statement that the collective agreement for government workers specifies clearly that sectoral agreements are permissible.

It said it expected the government to consult it on the proposed changes in the health sector.
