A Maltese man of Egyptian origin was yesterday charged with misappropriating just under Lm2,000.

Ashraf Sallam, 41, who has three residences, two in Bugibba and one in Sliema, pleaded not guilty to misappropriating Lm1,268.30 and Lm588 from Marija Bartolo and others on August 26 and relapsing.
