The MLP has decided to have a representative on the national consultative committee on technology and IT that is being set up at the end of the month, the party's spokesman for foreign affairs and IT, Leo Brincat said.
Dr Brincat said the decision demonstrated the MLP's commitment towards the development of IT.
Speaking on a Super One Radio programme, Dr Brincat augured that Libya would join the Euro Med process in the near future, while describing as a positive step the invitation made to it by the EU to become part of the neighbourhood strategy.
Dr Brincat said that while the MLP was intensifying its contacts with various diplomatic missions, it was putting at the forefront the respect for Malta's neutrality.
