I must complain about all these permits being given to pet shops to import various wild creatures, such as tarantulas, snakes, owls etc.

This is a disgrace. We are not properly equipped for these animals, even our climate is not adaptable. Some Maltese are incapable of taking care of a cat or dog, let alone exotic creatures.

It is totally ridiculous. They should be kept in the wild, where they belong. People should not expect them to be trained as pets. Such creatures cannot be considered domesticated pets. We have so many stray cats and dogs running around Malta. Are we going to start having tarantulas and snakes around too?
